Correct direction with the documented controls
- Send one concise OOC message naming the behavior to stop.
- State the replacement tone, boundary, or roleplay direction.
- Confirm the correct active Persona.
- Check memory for a conflicting identity or relationship fact.
- Compare the same companion in a new chat.
Do not repeat the same correction in every turn. OOC is most useful as a clear direction, not permanent filler.
Decide whether the cause is history, persona, or memory
If a new chat behaves correctly, the original history is the strongest suspect. If all chats using one Persona fail, inspect the Persona setup. If the companion keeps returning to a wrong fact, inspect the memory panel.

Use Time Travel only when the branch is expendable
Editing or Time Travel removes later messages and memories created from those messages. Preserve the branch or start a separate chat first.
