Quick answer: Account deletion is described as permanent and cannot be undone. Handle subscription billing first, save permitted information, and use the Delete Account control in User Settings. Removing a browser shortcut, clearing cookies, or deleting chats does not delete the server-side account.
Resolve billing before deleting the account
Account deletion and cancellation are different actions. If a subscription is active, first follow the cancellation workflow and keep the confirmation. Public documents have conflicting statements about what happens to the account after cancellation, so ask support when the sequence is unclear.

Prepare for irreversible deletion
- Confirm the signed-in email and account identity.
- Save any content you are permitted to retain.
- Record receipts, cancellation confirmations, and required transaction references.
- Review generated media, chats, personas, and custom characters.
- Open User Settings and use the official Delete Account control.
- Read the confirmation carefully before completing it.
Do not use deletion to troubleshoot a memory, login, or interface problem.
Understand the current retention statement
The current Privacy Policy says personally identifiable information and chat history are deleted immediately upon permanent account deletion. Transaction records may be retained for seven years for tax and accounting compliance, and security logs may be retained for a limited period.
The policy also says security and system logs may be kept for up to twelve months for fraud prevention and security. This does not mean every data category follows exactly the same deletion schedule. If a specific type of media or record matters, obtain written clarification before deleting.
Verify completion without exposing sensitive data
Keep the confirmation and note the deletion time. Test that the account no longer opens only after the process finishes, and avoid creating a new account with the same sign-in method until you have documented the outcome. Clearing browser data alone is not evidence of server-side deletion.
Use the SecretOpedia’s Secrets AI account-control guides for related billing guidance. If deletion is part of deciding whether the platform is right for you, the the Secrets AI review of privacy and account trade-offs explains current privacy, billing, and product trade-offs. For a refund question, use the separate Secrets AI refund guide.
Contact support when deletion is blocked
Provide the account email, sign-in method, screenshot, active subscription state, and time of the failed request. Never send a password, full payment number, or unnecessary private chat content.
