Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how SecretOpedia and relevant service providers may use cookies and similar technologies on secretopedia.com. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.

The technologies active on a page depend on its features and the choices made through any available preference control. SecretOpedia does not treat every cookie as consent-free merely because it supports measurement or commercial reporting.

What cookies and similar technologies do

A cookie is a small text record stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, link identifiers, and server-side referral records. They can help a site remember preferences, maintain security, measure performance, or attribute a referral.

Some technologies are set by SecretOpedia or its infrastructure. Others are controlled by an external service, particularly after you play embedded media or follow an outbound link.

Categories that may be used

CategoryPurposeTypical duration
Strictly necessaryDeliver pages, balance traffic, protect the site, remember a security state, and maintain essential functions.Session-based or limited persistent storage, depending on the service.
PreferencesRemember display, consent, or interface choices where such controls are available.Until the preference expires or is cleared.
AnalyticsUnderstand traffic and performance in aggregate if an analytics service is activated.Set by the selected provider and configuration.
Affiliate and conversion measurementAttribute a click, signup, purchase, or other eligible action to a referral or campaign.Set by the destination provider, affiliate service, or measurement configuration.
Embedded mediaDisplay or play third-party content and record interaction with that service.Controlled by the external service.

A duration stated by a provider is not a guarantee that a record will remain for the full period. Browser settings, service changes, consent withdrawal, and provider policies can shorten or alter storage.

Essential infrastructure

Hostinger, Cloudflare, or replacement infrastructure providers may use necessary cookies, network identifiers, and server records to deliver pages, manage traffic, detect abuse, and protect the site. Blocking all such technologies can prevent pages from loading or security controls from working.

Essential processing should be limited to what is reasonably needed for the requested service, security, or legal compliance.

Affiliate links

SecretOpedia participates in the Secrets AI affiliate program. An affiliate link can contain a referral identifier before any cookie is set. After you click, the destination provider or its affiliate service may place or read cookies and record eligible activity.

The provider decides the attribution period and may combine referral information with data it already holds about you. SecretOpedia may receive limited reporting about clicks, eligible actions, or commissions. Read the Affiliate Disclosure before relying on a commercial recommendation.

Analytics and advertising measurement

SecretOpedia may add analytics or Google Ads conversion measurement in the future. Such tools should not be treated as active until they are actually configured and the related notice and controls have been updated.

Where applicable law requires consent, optional analytics or advertising measurement should remain inactive until you make a valid choice. Refusing optional measurement should not prevent access to ordinary editorial pages, although aggregate reporting may be less complete.

Embedded media

A page may include content from YouTube, Instagram, or another external service. Loading or interacting with that content can allow the service to process your IP address, browser details, page address, account status, and interaction. It may also set its own cookies.

Where practical, SecretOpedia may use a click-to-load approach or similar control for non-essential embeds. The external service remains responsible for its own processing once its content is loaded.

Consent and changing your choice

Where a preference control is displayed, use it to accept, reject, or adjust optional categories. Withdrawing consent should be reasonably comparable in ease to giving it. A choice applies only to the browser or device where it is recorded unless the service states otherwise.

If no preference control is shown, you can use browser settings to block or clear storage. Clearing cookies can also remove a recorded preference, which may cause the site to ask again later.

Browser controls

Most browsers allow you to view, delete, block, or limit cookies. Private browsing can reduce persistent storage but does not make activity anonymous to network providers or destination websites. Blocking cookies does not remove server logs or referral information already transmitted through a link.

Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track, and similar signals are not interpreted uniformly by all services. SecretOpedia will consider legally required signals where applicable, but cannot guarantee how a third-party provider responds.

Third-party responsibility

SecretOpedia cannot directly delete a cookie or account record stored only by Secrets AI, YouTube, Instagram, Google, an affiliate service, or another external provider. Use that provider’s controls and privacy contact for data it controls.

Leaving SecretOpedia does not carry this policy to the destination website.

Changes to cookie use

Cookie use can change when a new security service, analytics tool, embed, advertising feature, or consent control is introduced. The information on this page should be updated when a material category or provider is activated.
